Our Mentoring Programme aims to support employers and autistic jobseekers in finding employment opportunities and activities within UK national horseracing.
We work together to create opportunities for autistic people to access employment and/or volunteering within the horseracing industry. This could mean jobs in stables, racecourse, ground staff, trainers, stud farm or breeders’ yard, farrier, catering, hospitality - the list is endless.
With 59 racecourses and lots more businesses associated to horseracing, in the UK, there are many options and opportunities for talented autistic people to bring their strengths, abilities and passion to our national sport of horseracing.
Vanda Latchford is the Mentoring Programme Lead for Autism in Racing - she is experienced in delivering coaching, training and mentoring to neurodivergent jobseekers and their employers - and now she is bringing this to the horseracing industry. Offering links to experienced horseracing mentors and contacts and supporting through the whole recruitment and onboarding journey.
Please note: that Autism in Racing is a ‘not for profit’ company and is completely separate from Vanda Latchford’s Neurotalent Coaching & Training, which is a sole trader business.
